2022 World Cup Qualifiers Africa: Another juiced game for Kenya’s Harambee Stars

It’s another tight one for Kenya‘s Harambee Stars as Rwanda’s Kariobangi Sharks played tirelessly to draw the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers match at the Nyamirambo Stadium in Kigali on Sunday.

It was a tough match as both teams under Group E of the qualifiers are not ready to return without a point.

Rwanda had lost their opening game against Mali while Kenya drew the previous match against Uganda.

As the match commenced, Harambee Stars got their fans at home already cheering with a first goal in 10 minutes — thanks to Michael Olunga.

Rwanda, the host, in another 10 got their fans jubilating too with Abdul Rwatubyaye

coming just in time to keep the scores balanced.

Both teams fought hard to take the lead but the scoreboard remained 1-1. Olunga made more attempts but none found it’s way into the goal.

Kenya now ranks second in the group coming behind Mali who will be playing Uganda on Monday.
