One thing about Lagos, there’s an exhibition every other day. These art exhibitions are usually around the Victoria Island/Lekki/Ikoyi axis of the city of Lagos (probably because its where the moneyed people of Lagos can mostly be found). The art scene in Lagos is really cool and it is actually trendy to go see some art every now and then.

Art exhibitions are a great way to socialize, network and generally just go out and see something beautiful, so you should definitely try that this Christmas!

Lagos is an island, and as such, there are enough beaches for you to hang out at! From Oniru,to Eleko, and from Atican to Tarkwa Bay and Kuramo Beach, the options are limitless. The scenery is always beautiful and you would usually find music and an ambience that feels like a party. You can also definitely always meet someone new.

If you’re looking for a calm and scenic escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, then hanging out at the beach is definitely a good idea to consider this Christmas.

Yes. You heard right. Lagos is big on food, among other things (there’s an eatery, BBQ sot, or Bistro within every five minutes’ drive in this city, and that is NOT an exaggeration. Okay maybe it is, but you get the point). There’s the annual Junk Fest, of which this year’s edition happened this weekend (sorry we couldn’t post this earlier) but there is still the Charity With Food event next Saturday, as well as the EatDrink Festival taking lace from December 28th to 29th, and you can trust that it will have everything you want in a food festival.

If you’re a food enthusiast, or a “foodlum” (this is a safe space), you should definitely be attending a food and drink festival in the coming weekends in Lagos. We may not have a full list of all such events, but you can definitely look them up on Google.

LOL not you already looking up Food festivals in Lagos. It’s the “ojukokoro” for us 😀

Ah yes. This one is for the “Outsiders”- set awon “We Outside”. Don’t worry, we don’t judge, we got you covered. If you fall into the category of people who like to party and have an amazing time at any of your favorite artiste’s concerts, do I have good news for you.

There is literally a concert everyday in Lagos from next week. Right up until the very last day of the year (so if you want to sleep outside, you actually are free to do exactly that. Some of the artistes whose concerts you can catch this Christmas are: Davido, Wizkid, Fireboy DML, Wande Coal, Tems, Olamide among others. You see how lit it’s about to get don’t you?

PS: As you’re attending these concerts, be sure to hold “vex money” lease. Lagos concerts aren’t for the weak pocketed 🙂

This is actually a personal favorite. Going to the movies is one of the most affordable yet rewarding ventures any individual could go on. You could go alone, if that’s your kind of thing, or you could go with a friend, or even a group of friends. Either way you choose to go about it, you can never go wrong with a simple day (or night) out at the movies!

If this sounds to you like the good idea it is, then here’s a little tip: there’s a new Marvel movie out this Friday the 17th. Oh, yes, it’s the third instalment of the MCU‘s Spider-Man movies, and if there is anything to say about the MCU, it’s that the movies (and series) are magic! You definitely wouldn’t want to miss out on this one.

So, mark your calendar, and treat yourself to an amazing time at the movies.
