American rapper, DaBaby, a grammy-nominee artist, and the MTV Europe Music Award winner Davido aka OBO stunned Lagos appearing in an African attire that left the streets choking in admiration.
The singer who would be performing at FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Qatar 2022 invited DaBaby for a new music video.
He was recently featured on “Hayya Hayya–Better Together”, the first single of the multi-song FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Soundtrack which made him as the first Nigerian singer to be featured in a FIFA World Cup single.
Davido who signed a deal with Sony’s RCA Records in 2016 is one the strong voices of afro-music across the continent. The wave of afro sound has travelled round the world. Big names in the United States are jumpimg on afro vibe to penetrate the African market more and more.
Dababy is not far from home and this isn’t the first time for the American rapper to feel proud and strong in an African attire. He’s back to the motherland where music begun 🙂
