Nigeria’s foremost Afrobeats stars Burna Boy and Wiz Kid continue to take African music across the world with outstanding records and o2 Arena shutdown concerts.
Few days ago, amid Covid-19, Burna Boy pulled out 12, 000 fans to experience Africa at the 20, 000 capacity o2 Arena in London bringing along youngsters like Rema, Ruger and many more.
By November, his “Twice As Tall” event will be the first event in “The Welcome Back Show” series featuring Ministry of Sound Classical and UK comedian Mo Gilligan + Friends with ‘The Black British Takeover’ coming December.
Diane Aidenbaum and others, who supported the Grammy award-winning Burna Boy, confirmed that the mind-blowing concert was performed before 12,000 fans.
While the Kilometre singer is having his fun, Wiz Kid, another Nigerian Grammy award winner is busy planning “Made in Lagos” concert at the same o2 Arena which took the superstar only 12 minutes to sell all tickets.
The “Made in Lagos” album released in October 2020 featuring Burna Boy, Tems, Ella Mai, Damian Marley, H.E.R., Skepta among others was a hit for Wiz Kid including the newly released deluxe edition. The United Kingdom will be playing a vital role in promoting the project during his North America tour.
Sufficient to say at this point, that Afrobeats is the rave of the moment.
