Nigerian-British heavyweight boxer and international superstar Anthony Joshua, regains his title for a third time!
Having had a great start to his professional boxing career and maintained a high level of athleticism, the Watford born boxer had built an impressive fighting record, rising to international prominence after winning the British and Commonwealth championship titles, and proceeding to win the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles from 2016 to June 2019.
He became unified Heavyweight Champion and defended the same titles until June 2019 when he recorded his only loss to date, in a fight against Andy Ruiz Jr.
He regained the unified titles in a rematch with Ruiz in December 2019.
After a fight that had been repeatedly postponed since 2017, Anthony Joshua eventually stepped in the ring against Russian boxer Kubrat Pulev, whom he defeated. By so doing, he regains his titles a third.
Selling 70, 000 tickets before the day of the fight, the fight between Anthony Joshua became the fastest selling event ever, as well as it set a new record for the largest boxing event to be held indoors, breaking the record of the Muhammad Ali vs Leon Spinks rematch.
The match was indeed a big deal and a breath of fresh air to fans of the talented Anthony Joshua, as there was initial worry about his performance against number 1 ranked Pulev. Anthony Joshua made sure to deliver an impressive performance, knocking Pulev out in the 9th round, and retaining his championship status.

At this point, there is very little doubt about the fact that inn a few years, Anthony Joshua will likely sit up with the biggest names to ever ply the trade and will continue to be a household name in boxing and all-round athletic excellence for generations to come!
