With 435.57 million streams,  popular Nigerian musician, Burna Boy came out tops of Billboard recently released list of fifteen most streamed Sub-Saharan African musicians.  Burna Boy’s lead was remarkably far ahead of some of the continent’s biggest musicians.. 

Tanzanian Diamond Platnumz came in second with 291.98 million streams while Davido took the third spot with 285.76 million.

Other artists featured on the list include Fally Ipupa, Wizkid, Mr. Eazi and Yemi Alade

Sinach who became the first African to top the Billboard USA Christian songwriters chart last month was also on the list.

Sinach, is a senior worship leader at Loveworld Ministries and is known for hit songs including `Way Maker,’ `He Did it Again,’ `I know who I Am,’ among others.

Nigerian artists dominated Billboard’s list, raking 9 out of the 15 positions. 

The American entertainment company which tracks most popular songs and albums across the world, compiled the list based on global streams of each artist. 

The company titled the list “Billboard’s Top 15 Sub-Saharan African Artists”.
