Eric Medji, a Benin businessman, is the founder of fruit juice company—Othentiks. His love for the motherland and adding value is the reason we’re rolling out this piece today.

Eric had the opportunity to work an IT consultant for top firms in Europe, but his dreams was to establish something big in Africa. Over a decade ago, the Benin businessman investigated business opportunities in Africa and where to invest big time. And it was a fruit juice business for him. He saw the abundance of fruits and poor packaging for those struggling with the business.

In 2013, Othentiks was born. From the company name, one can tell that he wanted things to be authentic and to beat his competitors.

He didn’t do it alone. He needed the support of his family. Although, Eric still works as an IT consultant part time. By 2023, Othentiks plans to roll out non-pasteurised fresh juices as well as expanding the market to Europe.
