Ethiopia: Abiy And The People Regain Control Of Major Towns From Rebels

Following the shocking announcement of Ethiopia‘s Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, to join the fight against the rebels terrorizing the country, the  government reports that it has regained full control of strategic towns.

Dessie and Kombolcha were seized last month by the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF).

The government of Ethiopia also added that the use of drone technology has been significant in their operations which contributed to this recent progress.

The Tigrayan fighters advancing to the capital not long ago have now withdrawn from parts of the Afar and Amhara regions.
