Winter Olympics 2022: Amaduo Hopes To Represent Gambia

Winter Olympics 2022: Amaduo hopes to be the first racer from Gambia

Amadou Krubally, a Skeleton racer, competes internationally for Gambia. Earlier this year, he came 14th in Igls Intercontinental Cup under individual men event. While he hopes to be the first Gambian racer to participate in the Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing, there’s a little bit of a funding challenge for the young man.

To realize this dream, the passionate and patriotic athlete set up a crowdfunding page to not just get funded but to also get a chance to make his country glow on the world map by February 2022.

AMADUO’S FINANCIAL PLANS TOWARDS MAKING THE WINTER OLYMPICS 2022

He hopes to raise about $17,000  via GoFundMe. According to him, it would be enough to see him through the European Cup and the International Cup seasons respectively.

“I’m dreaming of my country The Gambia to compete for the first time at the Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing,” he wrote on the GoFundMe page.

He is also the founder of IceGambia, which brought him officially onboard with both Bobsleigh and Skeleton organizations.
